The Community Credit Union of New Milford, Inc. will not disclose any non-public information about its members to anyone except as permitted by law. In addition, we restrict access to member personal and account information to those employees who need to know that information in order to provide products or services to such members.
Website Security
Security is a major concern for many of us when accessing or entering personal information online. You can be certain that our online teller, CommunityWEB is designed with multiple safeguards to ensure that your data is safe; even online.
First, in order to access CommunityWEB, you must contact the Community Credit Union of New Milford to set up your account for online information retrieval. When you sign up, you will receive a Personal Identification Number (PIN). Only with an account number and PIN match will the gateway allow access to account information. Furthermore, after three unsuccessful PIN tries, the account is flagged and no access will be allowed until a Credit Union representative is contacted. CommunityWEB utilizes Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to ensure that you are the only one viewing your personal information. Finally, CommunityWEB employs a session limit feature which will automatically log you out after 30 minutes.
Network Security
CCUNM protects our network platform and data transmissions with a variety of hardware and software to prevent hackers from retrieving personal information about you, our members. Our network lies behind a sate-of-the-art firewall configuration that hides internal data behind what we call the “DMZ”. Any data transmissions sent or received via the internet are transmitted with agent-specific encryption software. Finally, your information is stored within a database that requires data-specific software and employee-specific logins to ensure that only credit union personnel can access and edit your account information. Finally, our network information is frequently backed-up and monitored by anti-virus software 24 hours a day. |
